Halle Bailey has confirmed that filming of the new Little Mermaid remake has wrapped up. The project faced a number of COVID-19-related delays, but the live-action Little Mermaid finally began filming in January, and now cameras now done rolling. Halle Bailey plays Ariel in the movie, three decades after the animated original came out.
It looks like we’ll have some new emojis to play with soon. A list of new emojis that should become available later this year includes more gender-neutral options, a person biting their lip, some melting faces, hands making a heart shape, and someone who can hardly watch. The addition of a pregnant man marks another attempt to increase the diversity of emojis.
Britney Spears has said she won’t be performing again for as long as her father retains control over her career. Her comments are the latest in a series of emotional public statements about the conservatorship that controls her personal and financial affairs which she has begged to be brought to an end. Her father, Jamie Spears, has sole control of his daughter’s $60 million estate under the conservatorship that he set up in 2008.
