Twitter have made yet more staff cuts. Around a dozen people were let go in the trust and safety team handling global content moderation and in the unit related to hate speech and harassment. Workers on teams handling policy on misinformation, global appeals and state media on Twitter were also terminated. Roughly 3,700 employees have been laid off since early November in a cost-cutting measure.

 

A recent sighting of the Loch Ness Monster has got people wondering whether it has decided to leave Scotland. New footage has been shared on social media of a mysterious underwater creature in North Carolina. Many were quick to suggest it’s a large alligator with others saying it’s a baby whale, but nobody can say for sure.

 

Avatar: The Way of Water has just become the highest-grossing film of 2022 and the ninth-highest grossing film of all time after being released just four weeks ago. It has now taken $1.5 billion globally, overtaking Top Gun: Maverick. Movie experts are predicting it could hit $2 Billion. If that happens, James Cameron will be responsible for three of the six-highest grossing movies in history.
