Top Gun: Maverick has ended 2022 as the #1 movie at the worldwide box office. The sequel to the original Top Gun movie sees Tom Cruise play Captain Pete “Maverick” Mitchell who returns to sets off on a secret mission. Since its release in May, the film has ended the year with a worldwide box office total of $1.48 billion.
Meta, the parent company of Facebook and Instagram is preparing to announce whether it will allow former US President Donald Trump back on to social media. It had previously said it will decide by Saturday whether to allow him to return, but that decision is now expected to be announced later in the month. The development comes after Elon Musk last month revoked a permanent Twitter ban on the former president.
Rolling Stone magazine has updated its list of the 100 Greatest Singers list with a new list of the 200 Greatest Singers Of All Time. However, fans of Celine Dion are outraged she has been left off the list. She has amassed more 200 million record sales worldwide and won a stack of accolades and awards over her five decades in the limelight. Other artists on the list include Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, Stevie Wonder and Beyonce, but no Celine Dion.
