Facebook is introducing new features to its chat function on Messenger, one of which is the screenshot notification. According to Facebook, those who use the optional chat function will now “get a notification if someone screenshots a disappearing message.” Messenger gives users the option to use functions like “disappearing messages” which uses a timer to control when messages expire in a chat.
It’s been revealed that Godzilla vs. Kong is the most pirated film of 2021, beating other high-profile films like Justice League and Black Widow. It faced multiple delays because of the pandemic, and Godzilla vs. Kong was one of the first major films released in cinemas after a year of shutdowns. Because of a lack of confidence in returning to cinemas, fans opted to download the movie illegally instead.
Scientists are working on a Covid testing method that just needs a small amount of lab equipment and your smartphone. So far, reports suggest it could be as accurate as a PCR test. The method still needs plenty of vetting though, as the initial study contained a very small sample of 50 patients and the app needed for it to work has only been calibrated to work with the cameras on Samsung Galaxy S9 phones.
