Paramount is confident it will stick to the July release of the new Top Gun movie saying a further delays are unlikely. The long-awaited sequel once again puts Tom Cruise in the pilot’s seat as a US Navy pilot. Originally scheduled for a summer 2020 release, Top Gun: Maverick was delayed because of the pandemic, like all Hollywood blockbusters. It is currently scheduled to release on July 2nd – a year late. Paramount is determined to see its big-budget film on the big screen.
The anticipated biographical drama about the life and music of Elvis Presley has been pushed back to summer 2022. Tom Hanks will star in the film, as Colonel Tom Parker, Elvis Presley’s manager for over 20 years. Now Warner Bros. has announced that the premiere will be delayed until June 3rd of next year. The film was originally scheduled to open October 1st this year.
Netflix is testing a new feature that will allow viewers to set a timer for their favourite show or movie. It’s currently live for select Netflix subscribers on Android devices globally. The aim is to help save battery life on streaming devices when viewers fall asleep while watching a show or movie on the app. The Timer icon is at the top-right corner of the screen and allows you to select from 15, 30, 45, and Finish Watching.
