The James Bond novels by Ian Fleming are to be rewritten in order to protect modern readers who might be triggered by some of the language in the original books. Casino Royale will be the first one to be republished, marking 70 years since the first book in the series was released. A number of updates have been made, but staying as close as possible to the original text and the period in which it is set.

 

Avatar: The Way of Water has just broken a major international record. The film has already grossed over $2.2 billion worldwide and is now the No. 1 highest-grossing film of all time in Europe, beating the original Avatar. It might have some tough competition though from Marvel’s new Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.

 

Twitter has laid off another 200 employees, which is around 10% of it’s remaining workforce. This is the latest round of job cuts since Elon Musk took over last year. The layoffs bring Twitter’s workforce down to under 2,000, a sharp drop from 7,500. The cuts targeted product managers, data scientists and engineers.
