Katy Perry has said that the pandemic is pushing people to follow their dreams. She’s currently working on the latest season of American Idol, which premieres on Sunday, and admitted the latest talent pool, from a difficult 2020, is sweeter than ever. She said she thinks a lot of the contestants said to themselves, when they clicked a Zoom link to audition, they have nothing to lose. As nobody was busy they were just ready to take a hold of their dreams.

 

Westlife have announced they have parted ways with their record label EMI due to a breakdown of contractual negotiations. It follows claims they were dropped due to poor album sales. They reunited in 2018 and released their comeback album in November 2019. The plan was to promote the album with a stadium tour but because of the pandemic that tour was cancelled. A source is quoted as saying “Westlife are still a big name but their album came out months before the first lockdown, which has made things really difficult”.

 

Rumours have started to appear about Android 12. This will be Google’s next operating system for Android devices which is expected to launch later this year. Screenshots posted online show the new changes including a new notifications panel, new privacy features, and a new widget selection. Google has yet to confirm any of the information on Android 12 or its new features.
