Rihanna was declared a national hero of Barbados yesterday, on the same day that the country formally cut ties with the British monarchy, and became a republic. As a National Hero, Rihanna can now add the title “The Right Honourable” before her name. 

Twitter announced that images or videos of private individuals that were shared without their permission, will now be against the company’s policy, and they can be removed on request. Critics said that the rule is too broad, and that it may stifle free expression on the platform, but the social media giant assured that it would consider the context in which the images were posted before it removes them.

The heirs of Gucci released a statement criticizing the movie “House of Gucci”, for depicting their family in what they called an “insulting and painful” portayal. A number of big names took part in the movie, including Lady Gaga, Adam Driver, Jared Leto and Al Pacino. Despite their discontent however, the Gucci family still has not taken any legal action against the film.
