Have you ever heard of ‘revenge bedtime procrastination’? This is when we deliberately keep ourselves up at night to claim back ‘me time’ on our smartphones, even though we are tired. This could be browsing the internet, watching TV or scrolling through a social media feed. According to a new report most of us feel we don’t get enough ‘me time’ with our phones so we stay awake at night even if it means getting less sleep. 

 

Twitter is to team up with the Associated Press and Reuters to quickly provide credible information as part of an effort to fight the spread of misinformation. Just like all social media sites, Twitter has been under pressure to remove misleading or false information on their platform. Now they will collaborate with the news services during breaking news events to add accurate context, which could appear in various places on Twitter.

 

The designer behind Tokyo’s running track admits it is making athletes ‘one or two per cent faster’ because the new rubber granules are creating ‘pockets of air’ and a ‘trampoline effect’. He said that what we are seeing is evolution. Every time there is an Olympic Games they try to improve the formulation of the material, and Tokyo has been no different. A number of world records have been broken recently and some athletes say that it’s just like running on air.
