Netflix reportedly decided not to renew the series Resident Evil, because of low ratings and viewership. The show is based on the video game franchise, and while it made Netflix’s top ten list when it first debuted, it fell off the map in the weeks that followed.
Also in the world of series, HBO announced that House of Dragons, which is a prequel for Game of Thrones, was picked up for a second season. There is still no word on when production for season 2 will start or when it will premiere.
Facebook parent company Meta settled a lawsuit with Facebook users who sued the social media giant in 2018, under claims that it illegally shared user data with the research firm Cambridge Analytica. The details of the settlement have not been revealed yet.
