It has been revealed that Formula One driver Lewis Hamilton was offered a role as a fighter pilot in Top Gun: Maverick. It was Tom Cruise who wanted him in the movie, but filming took place during the end of the F1 season and Lewis Hamilton said he could not justify sacrificing preparation to turn up on set. He added that he was a fan of the original Top Gun film as a child, which made him ‘fixated’ on being a fighter pilot.
Ashton Kutcher has said he is “lucky to be alive” after a rare disease affected his ability to see, hear and walk. Vasculitis is a condition involving inflammation of the blood vessels. In a recent interview he said that that it took him about a year to regain those abilities. He also tweeted a confirmation that he “fully recovered”.
Taylor Swift has denied claims she stole lyrics for her song Shake It Off from another song that was released in 2001. She is facing accusations from Sean Hall and Nathan Butler, who claim she copied lyrics from their song Playas Gon’ Play. Originally a judge had rejected the claim, but now another judge has said the case should be trialed by a jury.
