Despite some bad reviews, ‘Super Mario Bros.’ continues to be the biggest movie of 2023 with worldwide box office takings at $678 million. It still has several weekends before “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3” arrives at the cinema to jumpstart the summer moviegoing season, but movie experts are predicting Super Mario Bros to cross the $1billion mark by the end of this week.
A rare Rocky trilogy of old VHS video tapes sold at an auction recently which fetched a lot of money. The first three movies were original factory-sealed copies with somebody paying more than $50,000 for the collection. The seller was a collector who acquired the videos from a man who made a time capsule for his son, who was born in 1982. The buyer remains a mystery.
The Twilight Saga is coming back and is being adapted for the TV. Lionsgate have confirmed that a version of the best-selling book series is in early development. The Twilight TV series is in its planning stages and does not yet have a network or a platform as sources say the studio, which controls the rights to the franchise, plans to lead the development on the project.
