Tobey Maguire, is in talks to return for Spider-Man 3, along with Kirsten Dunst. In the MCU, Tom Holland currently plays Peter Parker, and he’s set to return for a third solo adventure next year. Details of the plot have been kept under wraps, but there have been rumours for a while that, as the MCU digs into the multiverse, past Spider-Man characters could appear.
Johnny Depp has applied to the UK’s Court of Appeal seeking to overturn a court ruling that he assaulted his ex-wife Amber Heard and made her fear for her life. Last month, a judge rejected his claim that a newspaper had committed libel when a two year old article called him a “wife-beater”. He took legal action against the newspaper which referred to “overwhelming evidence”.
Warner Bros. is being criticised for their dramatic decision for a 2021 streaming release strategy. With cinemas struggling around the world, Warner Bros. has chosen to release all of their films next year online the same day the movie’s premiere at the cinema. Until now, traditional studios have been focused on maximising box office profits and ticket sales. This new deal will significantly impact how talent is compensated and how a film’s success is determined.
