Robert Pattinson has tested positive for COVID-19, forcing filming of his new movie The Batman to be suspended. Production on the movie had resumed near London just last after a break of nearly six months due to the pandemic. Now it’s on hold again.
Beyoncé has donated an additional $1 million to help Black-owned small businesses. Back in July, she said she will assist “small businesses negatively impacted by recent events”. She had also donated $6million towards COVID-19 relief in April 2020.
Akon is going ahead with plans to build a “futuristic” city in Senegal that he says will be a real-life version of Wakanda, the hi-tech nation portrayed in the “Black Panther” movie. According to its official website, the solar-powered city will have healthcare facilities, offices, luxury houses, shopping malls, skyscrapers, and eco-friendly tourist centers.
