Temples And Churches In Oman Temporarily Shut Down

Merge 104.8  |  04 April 2021

Churches and temples in the Sultanate have temporarily closed down as part of measures to stop the spread of the virus.

A circular released by temple management said that the closure came following advise from the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs to suspend the events and activities in places of worship until further notice.

The Parish Priest of Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Ruwi, Fr. Raul Ramos also released a similar circular and added that he encouraged worshippers to stay home and pray with their family members, rather than gather in groups to pray.

All temples and churches in Oman will remain closed until further notice.
