The 12 teams that made it to the final round of the AFC Asian Qualifiers were separated into two teams today. Oman is in Group B along with Saudi Arabia, China, Vietnam, Japan and Australia, while Group A consists of the UAE, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Korea and Iran.
The AFC Asian Qualifiers – Road to Qatar virtual draw was held in Malaysia.
The winning team and the runners-up from each group will secure a place for the AFC Asian Cup, while the two teams in third place will advance to the Asian play-off to determine which one of them will go through to the intercontinental play-off.
