Supreme Committee Issues New COVID-related Decisions
Merge 104.8 | 27 November 2021
The Supreme Committee issued several new decisions:
- Starting from tomorrow at 8 am, entry to Oman will be banned to any travellers coming in from South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Lesotho, Eswatini, and Mozambique.
- Entry to Oman will also be banned to any travellers who passed through any of the aforementioned countries in the 14 days prior to their scheduled arrival to the Sultanate.
- This decision does not apply to Omani citizens, diplomats, health workers, and their families. Those exempted will be allowed in, but they will be required to take a PCR test upon arrival, and undergo a 7-day institutional quarantine, with another PCR test taken on day six.
- The Supreme Committee urges all citizens and residents to avoid travelling in the upcoming period, unless absolutely necessary.
