The Supreme Committee announced that in the wake of rising COVID-19 cases, students in Grades 1-4 will once again, return to online education for a period of four weeks, starting from January 16th.
Officials warned that primary healthcare centers registered an increase in respiratory inflammation cases, mostly in the 5-12 age bracket, and that COVID-related hospitalizations across the country are on a rise.
The committee called on citizens and residents to continue following COVID protocols, and it urged establishments to check for proof of vaccination from their visitors, observe social distancing, and enforce the wearing of masks.
