Reducing employees’ annual leaves, forcing staff to take their annual leaves, and cutting salaries are some of the recent complaints filed with the General Federation of Oman Workers (GFOW).
In a statement issued online, the GFOW said that it has received a total of 353 complaints registered with the organization from employees and labourers in various governorates, with 161 cases mediated and resolved thus far.
In the last week, a total of five reports were filed between August 9-13, 2020, the GFOW confirmed. Other subjects of complaints registered with the organization include deducting COVID-19 quarantine periods from an employee’s annual leave, termination of services, or forcing workers to take unpaid leave.
