The Royal Oman Police (ROP) have confirmed that a man who assaulted a store employee has been found, after a video circulating online showed the man slapping the staff member.
As per the ROP, the assailant, who was suffering from a mental health issue, has been transferred to a health institution for observation and follow-up in cooperation with the relevant authorities.
The video was shared by an Omani social media user who caught the altercation on-camera, and who explained that the assailant became agitated when the store employee asked him to wear a face-mask before entering the shop.
