ROP: Driver’s License can Now be Renewed Online

The ROP issued a statement saying that drivers in the country, will now be able to renew their driver’s license online.

The police added that to qualify for online renewal, citizens and residents must first meet some conditions, which include:

• activating the online authentication feature of civil status cards, and the PKI activation of SIM cards
• Ensuring the license holder is free from violations and fines
• Ensuring that the license has expired or will expire in less than 30 days
• Ensuring that the license is issued by the ROP
• Having the license holder present in the country at the time of renewal
• Having an eye exam from an approved center taken within a 30-day period, and having the results sent online
