Retiring Oman footballer Ali Al Habsi honoured by Chairman of Oman Olympic Committee

Sayyid Khalid bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Chairman of the Oman Olympic Committee (OOC) received in his office today Ali Al Habsi, former goalkeeper of the Oman national team, to honour him upon Al Habsi’s announcement that he was retiring from the sport.

Al Busaidi thanked Oman’s star goal-keeper on behalf of the OOC in the presence of Taha Al Kushari, Secretary General of the Committee and Muhsin Al Masroori, member of the Board of Directors of the Committee and the Vice President of the Oman Football Association.

This came following Al Habsi’s official announcement to retire from football after a long career in which he represented the Sultanate in the Premiere league, Norway, and Saudi Arabia.

The 38-year-old footballer announced his retirement on Friday [August 21].
