Rain, winds, and storms forecast for parts of Oman

Merge 104.8  |  17 July 2020

Parts of Oman will continue to be affected by rough weather conditions, forecasters say.

The National Multi Hazards Early Warning Center indicates a low-pressure system over the Arabian sea will cause further heavy rain winds and occasionally thundershowers over Governorates of South al Sharqiyah, Al-Wusta, and Dhofar with sand and sand and dust storms over deserts.

The effect of this system is expected to last until Monday and the Public Authority for Civil Aviation is advising citizens and expatriates to take precautions and stay away from low-level areas,  avoid crossing wadis or entering the sea.
