Peak of Perseid Meteor Shower to be on Monday or Tuesday

The Oman Astronomical Society said that the Perseid meteor shower will be visible in Omani skies until August 24^th. Experts said that it will be at its peak between Monday evening and the early hours of Tuesday.

The Perseid meteor shower, experts explain, is when the Earth passes near meteors left being by the Swift-Tuttle comet, which results in dust participles entering the Earth’s atmosphere and burning up. It appears as a bright light strip.
