Petroleum Development Oman (PDO) has become the first entity in Oman dedicated to In-Country Value (ICV) to be awarded the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System certification. Granted by NQC after a rigorous audit, the certification highlights PDO’s structured and high-quality approach in alignment with Oman Vision 2040.
Saud Al Jabri, ICV Development Manager at PDO, said: “Securing ISO 9001:2015 certification is a landmark achievement that demonstrates our team’s steadfast commitment to excellence, transparency, and delivering real value for Oman. It embodies the culture of quality we cultivate at PDO, empowering us to lead with responsibility and set a new national benchmark for In-Country Value performance.”
He added that the certification strengthens PDO’s role in supporting sustainable economic growth by “supporting local content, increasing employment opportunities in vital sectors, expanding the local supplier base, and building national capabilities to prepare Omani talent for future leadership roles.”
The recognition also marks a key milestone in PDO’s institutional transformation journey and reinforces its commitment to adopting global best practices in quality and performance management.
