Parts of The Philippines Goes Back Into Lockdown

In The Philippines millions of people are back in lockdown, after doctors warned a surge in new coronavirus cases could push the healthcare system to breaking point.

Some cities in Metro Manila and nearby provinces have adjusted curfew hours as modified enhanced community quarantine takes effect from today.

Two weeks ago confirmed cases were at 72,000. Today the country now has  112,593 cases. 6,352 of those have been recorded in the past 24 hours (Tuesday August 4th).
