Around 16,338 Omani nationals have found jobs this year thanks to the National Centre for Employment (NCE).
In a statement issued by NCE, the newly-established centre said that those employees were hired in different sectors starting from January 1, 2020, until June 3, 2020.
Of the total number, 1,925 were hired in government, civil, and military jobs — while private sector contracts have touched 11,956.
Moreover, 531 Omani job-seekers found work in government companies, while 436 have received apprenticeships, and 1,490 pursued entrepreneurship, according to the NCE.
The NCE’s statement added that 11,352 of newly-employed Omanis had previous work experience, while 4,986 have just started their career.
The list of names of the companies in which national job-seekers have found employment has also been released by the centre.
