Voltamp launched the first 400 kV transformer in the GCC and Africa region, in a ceremony that took place in Sohar earlier today, under the patronage of the Minister of Energy and Minerals, Eng. Salim bin Nasser al Aufi.

Oman has now joined around 30 countries in manufacturing this rare technology, and it did so by exchanging knowledge with experts from Taiwan.

The company has invested almost 1 Million OMR in acquiring and upgrading the facilities to carry out this project, and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Voltamp Energy, Sayyid Ayman bin Hamad al Busaidi, said that this achievement will help serve the local economy by making it more self-reliant and reducing its dependence on the impact of global process and supply chains.
