The Ministry of Health announced that the period between the first and second doses of the Oxford/AstraZeneca vaccine has been extended to four months due to the lack of global supplies and the delay by manufacturers in exporting the vaccine. They assured citizens and residents that the extension period still falls within the period authorized by the manufacturer.

The ministry added that those who are awaiting their second dose of the Oxford/AstraZeneca vaccine will receive a text message specifying the date for the shot.
