Oman’s COVID-19 Cases on the Rise; 60 New Cases Reported Over the Weekend

The Sultanate’s Ministry of Health (MoH) reported 60 new COVID-19 cases in a 3-day period, with 24 cases reported on Sunday, 22 on Friday and 14 on Saturday.

According to reports, the last time Oman reported 50 new cases over the weekend, was back in October.

Officials from the World Health Organization (WHO) warned that the number of COVID-19 cases worldwide seems to be doubling in 1.5 to 3 days, due to the newly-deteced Omicron variant.
