Oman’s Public Authority for Civil Defence and Ambulance (PACDA) has confirmed that a 15-year-old girl has drowned in Wadi Bani Hani on Saturday [August 29].
In a statement issued online, PACDA said that teams in South Al Batinah Governorate responded to a drowning report of three female citizens in Wadi Bani Hani in the Wilayat of Rustaq.
At the scene, water rescue crews were able to rescue two of the citizens while the third, a 15-year-old girl, was reported to have drowned. In its statement PACDA said that the authority “calls on citizens and residents not to swim in the valleys and water bodies and to monitor children in order to preserve the safety of all.”
