Oman Sustainability Week to Start on March 12th with Participation of Over 80 Exhibitors

The dates and agenda for Oman Sustainability Week (OSW) 2023 were announced at a press conference that was held on Monday. The event will be hosted by the Ministry of Energy and Minerals (MEM) with Petroleum Development Oman (PDO) as the Host Organiser, and it will be held from March 12th until March 16th.

The OSW Exhibition will take place from 13th to 15th March in Hall 1 of the Oman Convention and Exhibition Center (OCEC), and it is expected to see over 80 exhibitors and 7000 attendees, as well as more than 100 expert speakers and 450 conference delegates.

The week-long event will see industry heads, sustainability experts and policymakers come together to position Oman as a country that implements sustainability practices in every sector. The event is also strongly aligned with both Oman Vision 2040, as well as the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs).

OSW will include a series of high-level discussions and activities with leading experts , and a key highlight of the event is the Oman Sustainability Week (OSW) Talks, which is scheduled to take place from 13th to 15th March. It is a free, open-panel forum which will discuss pioneering products and innovative solutions while inspiring attendees to embrace best practices in sustainability. Oman Shell will also host the Shell NXplorer Programme during the OSW Talks, which will showcase 10 innovative projects created by students from 10 schools in Oman.  

On the 16th of March, attendees will get to experience the Oman Sustainability Site Visits programme, which will offer them an opportunity to visit and experience a number of active projects that have been leading sustainable development in Oman.

The OSW Awards will also be held during the week, on the 12th of March, to acknowledge the high performers in the sustainable practices.
