The Royal Oman Police (ROP) have foiled a human smuggling attempt off the shores of Shinas in North Al Batinah.
In a statement issued online today [Thursday, August 20], ROP authorities have confirmed that, “Coast Guard police arrested 65 infiltrators of different Asian nationalities onboard four smuggling boats near the shore of Shinas while trying to enter the country illegally.”
ROP officials have cautioned the public against facilitating the illegal entry of persons into the Sultanate and, also, against working with or accommodating undocumented workers in order to avoid being subject to legal accountability.
