Oman: ROP seize 11.5kgs of crystal drug in Muscat bust

Authorities at the Royal Oman Police’s (ROP) General Administration for Combating Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances, have arrested a drug trafficker found in possession of 11.5kgs of crystal drug in Muscat Governorate.

In a statement issued online ROP officials said that, after follow-up operations, the alleged accused was found to be involved with international gangs to smuggle drugs with the intention of trafficking and abuse.

Authorities thanked citizens and residents for their cooperation to combat the scourge of drugs and calls upon the public to report “any information that helps detect smugglers and promoters by calling the Hotline of the General Administration for Combating Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (1444), or going to the nearest police station.”
