Oman: ROP intercepts drug trafficking operation in North Al Batinah

The Royal Oman Police (ROP) have intercepted a drug smuggling and trafficking operation in North Al Batinah Governorate.

In a statement issued online, ROP authorities have confirmed that arrests have been made against two residents of Asian nationalities who are alleged to have been smuggling narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances with the intent of trafficking.

The ROP has stated that the two alleged accused were carrying out the operation “in conjunction with international gangs”, and that legal measures are being completed against them.
