Aviation teams from the Royal Oman Police (ROP) conducted a rescue operation over the weekend in the Al-Jila area in the Wilayat of Sumail after a citizen fell from the top of a mountain.
In a statement issued online on Saturday [June 6], the ROP confirmed that the victim, who was in critical condition, was airlifted to Khoula Hospital.
The ROP have advised the public to take care and follow safety instructions while climbing or hiking and to avoid doing these activities amid high summer temperatures.
