Oman: ROP arrest three suspects on charges of sorcery, fraud

Royal Oman Police (ROP) in South Al Batinah have arrested three suspects on charges of fraud and sorcery.

In a statement issued online, the ROP have confirmed that one man and two women of Arabic and European nationalities have been detained after claiming they can conduct exorcisms and cure people of disease.

The ROP have also clarified that the Omani citizen who owns the house where he brought the suspects after helping them enter the country on tourist visas has also been detained.

Authorities have called upon members of the public who may have information on individuals dealing with such fraudsters to contact the ROP with any knowledge or suspicions they may have of such individuals.
