The Ministry of Transport ,Communications & information Technology has announced that public transportation services between cities (intercity) will be resumed starting from September 27.
Public transportation within the Governorate of Muscat will start on 4th October, and in Salalah from 18th of October 2020.
Mwasalat will announce the return of services in Sohar soon, according to the ministry.
The ministry explained that the bus interior shall be sanitized before and after a trip, and has enforced testing temperatures of all passengers on intercity routes.
Passengers will have to abide to wearing a face mask at all time while commuting the buses. They will also need to keep a one-seat distance between each other. No passenger will be allowed to stand in a bus, according to the ministry’s announcement.
