Oman registers 1,327 COVID-19 cases on Thursday

Oman’s Ministry of Health (MoH) has announced the registration of 1,327 new cases of COVID-19 novel coronavirus in the Sultanate.

In a statement issued online today [Thursday, July 16], the MoH has confirmed that the total number of COVID-19 cases in the country now stands at 62,573, while 1,052 new recoveries bring the total number of patients in the country who are now virus-free to 40,090.

Of the new cases announced today, 1,008 are among Omani citizens and 319 are among non-Omani residents. 

The MoH has also confirmed 9 deaths today, bringing total casualties in the Sultanate to 290, while the number of coronavirus patients hospitalized in Oman stands at 549, with 149 in ICU.
