In a circular issued to media, the MoM has stated that the following fines have now been added to the list:

Companies that fail to ensure that a distance of one seat is kept between workers in their transportation vehicles will be slapped with an OMR 300 fine.

Companies will also face an OMR 100 fine if the number of workers per room in staff accommodation exceeds the recommended number by the MoM.

Workers should also be divided into groups with sleeping areas and toilets designated for each group. Moreover, workers from different groups are not allowed to gather during breaks. Failing to adhere to these directives will cost a company OMR 300.

A fine of OMR 500 will be imposed on companies that fail to provide a quarantine area in their accommodations. In its statement, the MoM said that these areas should be monitored to ensure that workers do not mix with suspected COVID-19 patients.
