Oman: Muscat Governorate records 892 new COVID-19 cases Friday, Muttrah sees jump in daily new cases

With 1,889 new cases of COVID-19 registered by the Ministry of Health (MoH) today [Friday, July 10] the total number of cases in Oman has now reached 53,614.

MoH authorities have also confirmed that COVID-19 recoveries in the Sultanate have risen to 34,225, with 1,204 new recoveries on Friday. Eight new fatalities today have also brought the total number of COVID-19 deaths in the Sultanate to 244.

As the total national case count continues to rise, total cases in Muscat have now reached 32,060, with 892 new cases recorded in the governorate on Friday.

The highest proportion of those infected are in Seeb, with 391 new cases on Wednesday bringing the total to 11,722 in the Wilayat. In Bausher, 191 new cases today mark a total of 8,564 in the Wilayat.

Muttrah saw a jump in new cases today with 102 for a total of 7,897, while Al Amerat recorded 86 new cases for a total of 2,199 in the Wilayat.
