Oman: Monday’s COVID-19 recoveries surpass new cases 1,222 to 910

Oman’s Ministry of Health (MoH) has announced the registration of 910 new cases of COVID-19 novel coronavirus in the Sultanate, while the number of daily recoveries have shot past this figure today [Monday, June 29] at 1,222.

In a statement issued online, the MoH has confirmed that the total number of COVID-19 cases in the country now stands at 39,060, while total recoveries have now reached 22,422.

Of the 910 new cases announced today, 535 are among Omani citizens and 375 are among non-Omani residents.

The MoH has also confirmed that the number of COVID-19 fatalities now stands at 169 with 6 new deaths announced today, while the number of coronavirus patients hospitalized in Oman stands at 423, with 115 in ICU.

A total of 3,191 COVID-19 tests have been carried out in the country in the last 24 hours.
