Oman in continuous coordination with GAVI to get 700,000 Covid-19 vaccine doses

Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed al-Saidi, Minister of Health, has said that the Sultanate is in continuous coordination with the Global Alliance for Vaccination and Immunisation (GAVI) to get 700,000 doses of coronavirus (Covid-19) vaccine as soon as it is produced.

In a statement to Oman News Agency (ONA), the Minister pointed out that efforts are being exerted by the Health Ministry to secure the procurement of the vaccine after ensuring its safety and efficiency.

He explained that the Sultanate seeks to participate in developing research on Covid-19 vaccine to secure priority to get the vaccine as soon at it is produced.
