Oman has communicated with all COVID-19 vaccine making companies to ensure getting sufficient amounts of the vaccine before end of 2020, His Excellency Dr Mohammed Al Hosni, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health said to Oman TV.
He explained that there is no approved vaccine so far, but he expressed that the current test results are promising.
“We hope we cover at least 20% of the population need of vaccines before the end of the year,” he said, adding that the priority will be given to health workers, Royal Oman Police officers and the army.
