Within the context of Royal concern about the impact of the COVID-19 coronavirus on the economic situation in Oman, His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik has issued orders to authorize a program of interest-free emergency loans to assist some segments of entrepreneurs whose businesses bore the brunt of the pandemic.
As Oman News Agency (ONA) reports, these segments include, in particular, holders of Riyada Card for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and self-employed entrepreneurs, as well as beneficiaries of loans from Oman Development Bank and Al Raffd Fund.
As per ONA, the loans will be granted in accordance with terms and procedures set forth by the Supreme Committee for COVID-19, said a statement issued by the panel.
