Oman’s Department of Blood Bank Services (DBBS) has issued an urgent appeal for donations of O+ blood types to Sohar Hospital.
In a statement issued online today [Tuesday, September 1], DBBS said: “The Sohar Hospital blood bank is suffering from a sharp decrease in blood supplies and is in urgent need for O+ blood type. We appeal to carriers of this blood type to rush to donate today.”
As per the DBBS, those wishing to donate blood at Sohar Hospital can send a WhatsApp message to 7990-0799 along with their full name, civil ID, type of donation (blood/platelets/plasma), and day and time they wish to book.
