Oman: 350 kg of narcotics seized by ROP on Sunday in historic bust

The Royal Oman Police [ROP] have carried out an historic drug bust seizure today [Sunday, June 21], authorities have announced.

In a statement issued online, the ROP confirmed that: “In a case that is the largest in recent years, the General Department for Combating Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances arrested an international smuggler of Asian nationality, and seized 350 kilograms in possession of various types of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances, of which the smuggler planned to promote some of them in the Sultanate and smuggle the rest of the quantity to other countries.”

The ROP also affirmed to the public that it continues all efforts to confront drug traffickers and calls on the cooperation of citizens and residents by informing authorities on actions taken by drug dealers at the 1444 hotline, or by contacting the nearest police station.
