New Supreme Committee Decisions Issued as Cases Start Rising

The Supreme Committee issued several new COVID-related decisions. These decisions will be applied immediately, and they will remain valid until January 31st, 2022.

  • All non-Omanis aged 18 and above who are entering Oman from any checkpoint, will be required to show proof of having received two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine that is approved in the Sultanate.
  • All passengers arriving in Oman will be required to show a negative PCR result issued within a maximum of 72 hours.
  • The travel ban that was imposed on a number of countries has been lifted. The countries include South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Lesotho, Eswatini and Mozambique.

The committee also reaffirmed that vaccination remains a condition for entry to public and private establishments, and it urged people to follow all precautionary measures, which includes social distancing, wearing masks, and keeping people who suffer from pulmonary diseases from entering the workplace.
