The Sultanate’s Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) issued new guidelines for PCR test requirements before travel. Passengers coming into the country from long international flights (8 hours or more) will be required to carry negative PCR results from tests taken 96 hours prior to their scheduled arrival time in Oman, while those coming in on shorter flights can have it done 72 hours before. The CAA also announced that Omani citizens who test positive for the Coronavirus after recovering from the disease and completing the prescribed quarantine period, will still be allowed to travel.
