New Draft Social Protection Law Approved by Council of Ministers

The Sultanate’s Council of Ministers approved a draft Social Protection Law which provides monthly financial grants to the elderly, orphans, people with disabilities, widows, and support for families with low income.

The Social Insurance Programs cover:

  • Risk-facing elderly, disability and death (unified pension system)
  • Work injuries and occupational illness
  • Job security risks
  • Maternity leave
  • Sick and irregular leaves
  • Saving programs
